DOOH and Transit Advertising Propel Record Growth in OOH Revenue, Q1 Hits Nearly $2B

SignValue is excited to report that out-of-home (OOH) advertising revenue soared to nearly $2 billion in Q1 2024, reflecting a 6.8% increase from the previous year and marking the highest first-quarter volume in OOH history. According to the [Out of Home Advertising Association of America (OAAA)], digital out-of-home (DOOH) sales, which now comprise over 32% of total OOH revenue, experienced robust growth of 10.3%, while transit advertising outpaced all segments with an impressive 18.8% increase.

Top advertisers such as Apple, McDonald’s, and Disney significantly contributed to this surge. Over 70% of the top 100 OOH advertisers increased their spending compared to Q1 2023. Remarkably, thirteen advertisers, including Hotels.com and QuikTrip, boosted their spending by over 1000%.
