Paris, January 25, 2024 – JCDecaux, one of the leading global outdoor advertising companies, reported robust financial results for the full-year 2023, showcasing a +7.6% growth in Group revenue, with an impressive +8.7% on an organic basis, reaching €3,570.0 million. Jean-François Decaux, Chairman of the Executive Board and Co-CEO, attributed this success to the surge in digital revenue, the consistent growth of street furniture, and the recovery of transport activities. The fourth quarter marked a historic high for the company, achieving a +10.3% organic growth and +9.4% reported growth, driven by exceptional demand for digital advertising and a resurgence in transport business outside of China.
Digital Out of Home (DOOH) played a pivotal role in this success, with a staggering +20.5% growth in Q4 2023 and +20.8% for the full year, reaching a record 38.2% of Group revenue in Q4 and 35.3% for the entire year. Programmatic advertising through the VIOOH SSP also thrived, experiencing a remarkable +63.5% growth in 2023, constituting 8.0% of the digital revenue. The positive momentum extended across all business segments, with Street Furniture boasting a +6.7% organic revenue growth, Transport reaching +20.0% organic growth, and Billboard achieving +1.3% organic growth in Q4 2023. Despite the challenges in certain regions, JCDecaux remains optimistic about the future, expressing confidence in the continued growth of the Out of Home (OOH) market share, especially in the rapidly evolving Digital Out of Home (DOOH) segment.
